Education

Sara Pavo Beldarrain earned her B. Sc. in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in July 2019. She carried out her bachelor project in Polymat (Polymerization Process Group), under supervision of Prof. Maria Paulis and Dr. Shaghayegh Hamzehlou. During summer 2018 she did an internship in the Polymerization Process Group.
During 2019-2020 she did the Master in Applied Chemistry and Polymers in the University of the Basque Country obtaining the specialization in polymers. During the master project she studied how the microstructure and composition of comb-like superplasticizers affect the cement hydration under the supervision of Prof. Jose Ramon Leiza and Dr. Jorge S. Dolado.

Research

Since November 2020, she is doing her PhD in Polymat under the supervision of Prof. Jose Ramon Leiza and Dr. Edurne Gonzalez. Her project is part of the Industrial Liaison Program (ILP). Her current research is focused on the development of functionalized latexes that can be used as dispersant and stabilizer of inorganic particles (e.g. TiO2).
