Previous positions include: Chair in Electromaterials and Corrosion Sciences and Australian Laureate Fellow (Deakin University); Professorial Fellow (2003-2010) in the Department of Materials Engineering, Monash University, Australia; EPSRC Visiting Fellow at Warwick University and Birmingham University; Fulbright Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Department of Chemistry and Materials Research Centre, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, USA, 1990-1991.
