Education

Tatiana holds a Degree in Chemistry from the National University of Córdoba (2018), for which she was awarded the University Award. During this time, she gained experience as a research assistant intern in metabolic engineering of lactic acid bacteria and chemoenzymatic synthesis of chiral sulfur-containing compounds, focusing on modulating stereoselectivity to enhance their potential applications.
She earned her Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences from the National University of Córdoba (Argentina) in 2024. Her doctoral research centered on the development and characterization of recombinant enzymes for therapeutic applications, with a focus on enzyme expression and metabolic engineering of different bacterial systems. Her work combined molecular biology, protein engineering, and microbiology to explore novel biotechnological solutions.

Research

Tatiana's background in organic chemistry, biocatalysis, and stereochemistry provided a strong foundation for her transition into metabolic and protein engineering for the design of microorganism-based therapeutic tools.
Her doctoral research focused on enzyme expression and optimization in various bacterial systems, aiming to develop therapeutic tools based on microorganisms. She has a solid academic foundation and hands-on expertise in protein engineering and characterization, microbiology, and biotechnology, contributing to advancements in enzyme-based therapeutic solutions.
In 2025, Tatiana joined the POLYMAT group led by Prof. Ana Beloqui Elizazu, where she will work on improving protein modification strategies using eutectic solvents.
