Education

Gabriele Lingua studied at the University of Turin (department of chemistry), in Italy. In 2015 he received the Bachelor’s degree and in 2017 the Master’s degree in Materials Science. In 2018 he obtained a Ph.D. fellowship at the Polytechnic of Turin in the Group for Applied Materials and Electrochemistry (GAMElab group). He worked in the field of electrochemistry, especially on the preparation and characterization of solid-state polymer electrolyte for alkali metal batteries. During his Ph.D., he spent 6-month at the Luxemburg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) in Luxemburg under the supervision of Prof. Alexander S. Shaplov with the aim of developing innovative single ion conducting polymer electrolytes for Li-metal batteries.

Research

His research interests are focused on the development of innovative solid polymer electrolytes, physical-chemical and electrochemical characterization of electrolytes and electrode materials for application in alkali-based energy storage devices.
