Education

Ainhoa Lejardi graduated in Materials Engineering (2007) from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in the faculty of Engineering School. Later (2011) she obtained a PhD in Materials Engineering from the same University working in synthesis and characterization of new biodegradable polymers and studying the miscibility of polymer blends, under the supervision of Prof. J.R. Sarasua and Prof. E.Meaurio. During the PhD spent 3 month in Vienna, University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU).
She is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Mining-Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science, faculty of Engineering in Bilbao, UPV/EHU and teaches Material Science and Polymeric Materials at both undergraduate and graduate level

Research

Now a day, her research line focuses on study the miscibility polymeric/drug and characterization of injectable hydrogels for medical applications.
