Education

Oihane Llorente earned her B. Sc. in Chemistry (2013) and M. Sc. in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials(2014) from the University of the Basque Country. In 2013 she obtained a collaboration grant from the Basque Government and she carried out a research project on the synthesis of waterborne UV curable polyurethane acrylates.

In July 2019 she obtained the PhD from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) in colaboration with Fresmak SA and Oribay Group. From june 2019 to february 2021 she had worked as a postdoctoral researcheron the synthesis and characterization of adhesives based on thiol-ene "click" reactions in colaboration with Oribay Group. In February 2021, she joined Polymerization Processes Group where she worked on the projects "online particle measurements during the production of waterborne polymers produced by polymerization in dispersed media" and "synthesis of waterborne polymer dispersions for steel anticorrosion protection".

Research

She is currently the valuation manager of the technology for the synthesis of anticorrosion coatings in direct to metal applications (DTM) developed by Polymat and Cidetec.
