POLYMAT was pleased to welcome four groups of 20 third-year secondary school students from Zubiri Manteo BHI (Donostia) to its laboratories, where they had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into ongoing research activities.

During the visit, the students explored polymer synthesis and latex characterization, and learned about polymer processing via injection and extrusion techniques, as well as mechanical property characterization through impact and tensile testing.

This experience was made possible thanks to the dedication of the research staff, who paused their work to contribute to this important educational activity: Nora Aranburu, Ana Trajcheva, Maria Paulis, Alodi Pascal, Pablo Morales, Iosu, Itziar Otaegi and Hayam Elzeiny.

Initiatives like this play a key role in inspiring future generations and bringing science closer to society.
