Education

Jorge earned his BSc in Chemistry in 2014 and his MSc in Synthetic and Industrial Chemistry in 2015 from the University of the Basque Country. Later, he joined POLYMAT, where he obtained his PhD in 2019 supervised by Prof. Juan Luis Delgado and Dr. Ramón Tena Zaera. His thesis focused on the study of fullerenes as additives in perovskite thin films for photovoltaic application. He carried out his predoctoral studies in close collaboration with CIDETEC (Spain) through a long-term visit and spent 8 months in Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (Germany).

Research

After his PhD, Jorge carried out postdoctoral studies at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (Germany) under the supervision of Prof. Antonio Abate and at the University of Kyoto (Japan) under the supervision of Prof. Atsushi Wakamiya. His research focused on the chemistry of Sn-containing perovskite materials for photovoltaic applications.
In January 2023, Jorge re-joined POLYMAT as a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Prof. Juan Luis Delgado, thanks to a Donostia INN fellowship.
