Fourth AcroBioPLAST Meeting at POLYMAT
On November 13, the fourth biannual meeting of the AcroBioPLAST – Interreg POCTEFA Project took place at the Joxe Mari Korta building (POLYMAT). The event was organized by POLIMERBIO and brought together representatives from all partner institutions of the consortium.
From POLYMAT-EHU, participants included Professor Alejandro J. Müller, Dr. Agurtzane Múgica, Dr. Manoli Zubitur, Dr. M. Ali Aboudzadeh, Pablo López Matanza, and Dr. Javier Martínez. Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour–IPREM was represented by Dr. Maud Save, Dr. Laurent Rubatat, and Dr. Mario I. Peñas Núñez. From the University of Zaragoza, Professor Victor Sebastian Cabeza attended in person, while Professor Manuel Arruebo and Dr. Cristina Yus Argón joined remotely. POLIMERBIO was represented by Dr. Antonio Muñoz Fernández and Laura Rubio Emazabel.
The meeting included presentations on the recent progress of each partner, challenges encountered during this period, and the next steps to advance the project’s main objective: accelerating the biodegradation of bioplastics and improving their application in medical devices.
Funded by Interreg POCTEFA, the AcroBioPLAST Project reinforces cross-border collaboration between Spain and France to jointly address technological and environmental challenges.
POLIMERBIO was acknowledged for its excellent organization of this latest edition of the project’s biannual meeting.
