Alba Gonda receives the "Young researchers award" at eMRS 2024
We are thrilled to announce that Alba Gonda has received the "Young Researcher Award" at the European Materials Research Society (eMRS) 2024 Fall Meeting in Warsaw, Poland. This award, in the category of "Sustainable Materials for Chemical and Electrochemical Energy Storage," recognizes her outstanding work on "Novel bio-based proton exchange membranes for proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs)."
Alba’s PhD research, supervised by Prof. Radmila Tomovska and Dr. Amaia Agirre, is part of the IMMENSE M-ERA NET EU project, with Justine Elgoyhen also contributing as a postdoctoral researcher in the project. The research is funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation and the State Research Agency.
To compete for this prestigious award, Alba presented the progress, results, and outcomes of her PhD research and participated in a personal interview.
