Education

In 2017, I obtained my BSc in Chemistry at the Radboud University in the Netherlands. During my Bachelor thesis, I worked on Local Perturbations of a Trypsin-based Oscillating System in the Physical-Organic Chemistry department of Prof. Wilhelm T. S. Huck.

In August 2020 I received my MSc Degree in Molecular Chemistry at the Radboud University. During my first internship I worked in the Molecular Materials group of Dr. Paul Kouwer. The project was in collaboration with Mecaphor BV and focused on Screening Copolymers and Networks Composition for Optimal LCST and Water Uptake Behaviour. I conducted my second internship at HyET Hydrogen, for which I worked as an affiliate at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in the USA. As part of Dr. Gao Liu's Applied Energy Materials group I focused on the Synthesis of Novel Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) for Electrochemical Hydrogen Compressor Applications under the supervision of Dr. Albert Bos, Dr. Gao Liu and Dr. Paul Kouwer.

Research

At the end of October 2020 I started my PhD as Marie Curie Fellow, being part of the POLYSTORAGE project. I work under the supervision of Prof. David Mecerreyes and my research focusses on the synthesis of naturally inspired redox polymers for battery applications.
