Education

Xabier Telleria Allika obtained his B. Sc. in Chemistry by the University of the Basque Country in July 2015.

During 2015-2017 he studied a European Master in Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modeling (TCCM) in the University of the Basque Country. During the master project he performed Molecular Quantum Dynamical studies of ultra-fast processes on the first two electronic excited states of azulene under the supervision of Prof. Graham Worth (University College London) and Prof. Jon Mattin Matxain (University of the Basque Country).

In the period 2018-2020 he took a Master in Mathematical Modeling and Research, Statistics and Computation with special focus in modeling using Machine Learning and Differential Equations (University of the Basque Country). In his master project he developed machine learning techniques based on semi-supervised learning and uncertainty sampling for building phase diagrams under the supervision of Prof. Jon Zubeltzu

Research

Since September 2017 he is doing his PhD at  DIPC and the University of the Basque Country under the supervision of Prof. Jon Mattin Matxain and Prof. Jose Maria Mercero  on Statically screened potentials, Hookean systems and quantum dots in Theoretical Chemistry group. His research was focused on developing computational tools which accounted for electron correlation effects for studying confined electron systems. He also spent three months studying Wigner location for harmonically confined electron systems in Toulouse (Université Paul Sabatier) under the supervision of Prof. Stefano Evangelisti and Prof. Arjan Berger.

The main target of his research in POLYMAT is to develop and implement machine learning techniques for studying emulsion polymerization processes.
