Education

Bruno Espuche studied Chemistry and Physics at the Graduate School of Chemistry, Biology and Physics of Bordeaux (ENSCBP), France. After studying for a semester at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in Melbourne as an exchange student (Australia, 2019) he graduated at ENSCBP with a Master's degree in Chemistry with a specialization in Polymer Chemistry in 2020.
In 2020, he completed his Master Thesis within the Polymer Chemistry Team of the Molecular Chemistry Institute of Paris (IPCM) at Sorbonne University, France. The project, entitled " Preparation of perylene-containing polymeric nanostructures with tunable fluorescent properties", was performed under the supervision of Dr. Jutta Rieger and Dr. Dao Le.
In November 2020, he joined the Responsive Polymer Therapeutics Group (POLYMAT) and the Soft Matter Nanotechnology Lab (CIC bomaGUNE) to carry out a PhD under the co-supervision of Dr. Marcelo Calderon at (POLYMAT) and Dr. Sergio Moya (CIC biomaGUNE).

Research

In November 2020, Bruno obtained a PhD Fellowship to work on nanogels for gene delivery in skin diseases at POLYMAT and CIC biomaGUNE under the co-supervision of Dr. Marcelo Calderon and Dr. Sergio Moya. His research is focused on the synthesis, the characterization, and the application of nanogels in gene delivery therapy, with a skin delivery strategy.
