Education

Elena Gabirondo Amenabar earned her B. Sc in Chemistry from the University of the Basque Country in June 2017. She did the Master in Chemistry and Polymers in the University of the Basque Country obtaining the specialization in polymers in 2018. During the master thesis she worked on cyclic polyester oligomers under the supervision of Dr. Vinit Chilekar and Dr. Martin Rübenacker in the chemical company BASF SE  (Germany).

Research

Since November 2018 she is a PhD student at POLYMAT under the supervision of Dr. Haritz Sardon and Dr. Agustin Etxeberria. Her research is focused on circular economy in chemical recycling and production of polymeric materials.
