Education

Aurélie obtained her master´s degree in chemistry and physical chemistry of materials at the University of Pau (France).

During her postgraduate studies she performed two internships in the polymer group of the Institute of analytical sciences and physical chemistry for the environment and materials (Pau). For the first one she synthesised pH-responsive amphiphilic diblock copolymers in order to self-assemble them into dynamic micelles. Her master´s thesis work focused on the synthesis of small diblock copolymers containing incompatible blocks (one sugar-based block and one synthetic block) to obtain nano-structured films.

She also worked on a research project during 6 months in Warwick University (England) under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Dove. The aim was to make polymeric nanoreactors.

Research

Aurélie started her PhD under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas Ballard in March 2017 at the University of Basque Country (POLYMAT group). Her project consists in developing cationic polymerisation technique in aqueous media.
