Education

Silvia Collavini was born in Udine (Italy) in 1990.
In 2014 she obtained her degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology (Pharmacological Sciences) at the University of Trieste. Her master thesis work, supervised by Professor Tatiana Da Ros, was about finding new strategies to obtain fullerene C60 bisadducts with selective regiochemistry.
From 2015 to 2019, she had been working as a PhD student in the Hybrid Materials for Photovoltaics Group, under the supervision of Professor Juan Luis Delgado. During her PhD she also worked in Cidetec facilities, supervised by Doctor Ramón Tena-Zaera, and did an internship in École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne under the supervision of Professor Michael Grätzel and Doctor Shaik M. Zakeeruddin.
From academic year 2016/2017 to 2018/2019, she obtained the Predoctoral Grant of the Basque Government.
In 2019, she obtained her PhD degree from POLYMAT/University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU with the thesis "Pristine and Novel Fullerene Derivatives as Charge Transporting Materials or Additives in Perovskite Solar Cells", supervised by Professor Juan Luis Delgado and Doctor Ramón Tena-Zaera.

Research

She is currently working as a PostDoc in the Hybrid Materials for Photovoltaics Group, under the supervision of Professor Juan Luis Delgado. Her research work consists in the preparation of perovskite devices and the synthesis of novel materials that can be suitable for this kind of photovoltaics, either as additive or as charge transporting material.
