Lucinda E. Mulko received her B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from University of Río Cuarto, UNRC (Río Cuarto, Argentina) in 2011. At the same time, she was worked for almost a year and a half (2010-2013) in the private sector (department of R&D in the field-balanced feed for livestock and Supply Chain for construction industry).

In 2013, she starts her PhD. at Chemical Science at the Research Institute of Energy Technologies and Advanced Materials at the National University of Río Cuarto with a doctoral fellowship from the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). She received her Ph.D. from the National University of Río Cuarto (Río Cuarto, Argentina) in December of 2017. In 2017, she was awarded a CONICET Postdoctoral Fellowship through a highly competitive call to join the group of Prof. Gustavo Pino at INFIQC at the National University of Córdoba (Argentina).

She has been awarded with two international mobility scholarships. The two of them took place during her Ph.D. and was a short-term stay working in the group of Prof. Dr. Frank Mücklich at Chair of Functional Materials at Saarland University, Germany and a stay in the Bioinorganic Lab Group at the University of Santiago de Chile.

To date, Lucinda has published several scientific articles in high and medium impact journals. She attended more than 40 national and international conferences. She as wide experience in university teaching in different subjects related to Analytic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry and Materials Science at the National University of Río Cuarto and National University of Córdoba. She has been supervisor of several pre-grade human resource activities and actively participate in numerous scientific dissemination programs in public and private fields for the scientific community and the general public.

In November 2019, she joined to the Responsive Polymer Therapeutics Group as a postdoctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Marcelo Calderon at Polymat.


During her doctoral studies, her research was focused on the development, synthesis, characterization of novel nano and biomaterial to improve reactions involve in bioethanol production, specifically in enzymes immobilization on smart hydrogels. After that, during her year and a half postdoc in the INFIQC, she worked with polymer films post-modified by lasers techniques to develop antimicrobial and antifouling surface with biomedical applications. Nowadays, she is starting to work at the Responsive Polymer Therapeutics Group with Biodegradable nanocarriers for the Treatment of Skin Injury Infections.
